How to Delete Your Profile

Click here to delete your profile. Please allow at least 24 hrs. If you need your profile removed immediately, you may take your profile offline anytime by clicking here. Once a profile is offline, you will need to contact us to reactivate it before you can log in.

I Can't Log in

I can't upload a photo

Your photo should not exceed 2500mb, or shouldn't be smaller than 300mb and should be a .jpg file format. You may go to any oline photo editor to resize your image and then reupload it. befunky.com is a good option.

When will my profile be approved?

Usually around 1-2 hours MST, but it can extend as long as 12 hours due to different time zones. If your profile is pending longer than usual, please contact us. You may need to verify your profile by sending a selfie holding todays date.

Is Western Match free?

It is free to signup. There is no credit card required. You may upload two photos, view profiles, save your favorite members, see who viewed your profile, use the chat rooms and read mailbox messages, all free. You can decide to upgrade your account at anytime to have access to all premium features.

What do I get with a Gold Membership?

The gold membership is a premium account. The gold horseshoe in the members profile signifies that they are a gold member. Gold members have full access to all features with no restrictions.

Can I go offline?

If you need a break, or met someone and are not sure whether to delete your profile, you have the option to take it offline. Click here to take your profile offline.

NOTE: Once your profile is offline, you will need to contact us to reactivate it before you can log in.

Why did my profile get deleted?

Profiles are manually approved. If we feel you are not on westernmatch for the right reasons, your profile may be deleted. Please make sure you post accurate information and complete your profile. Make sure your location matches your IP address. To verify that it is you in the photos you posted, you may be asked to upload a photo holding up the date so that we can verify that it is you in the photos that you uploaded.

Can I change my username?

We prefer that you don't change your username so please choose wisely. Changing your username may cause confustion between members. If you just recently joined the site within 24 hours, perhaps we can change it for you.

Where do I change my email address, password, timezone, etc.

Go to "my account" to change this information.

Someone is harassing me.

We are sorry to hear this. Please open the members full profile. You may block or report the member by clicking on the links at the top of the members full profile. Blocking a member will keep the member from contacting you. The member however, can still see your profile as long as it's online.

What happens after cancellation

Once you cancel your subscription you will no longer be automatically billed. Once the membership expires your account will convert back to a free membership. You may upgrade again at anytime.

Problems uploading a photo

If you upload a photo no larger than 2500 px and no less than 300 px, in a .jpg file format, you should not have problems uploading your photo. If your photo is sideways, you may use our inhouse photo rotator tool. If problems still persist with the size of your image, you may go to "www.befunky.com" an online photo editor, to resize your photos and save it in the right file format. The name of your photo file should be something like this. susancowgirl.jpg.

Introductory Video

Introductory video's are a great way to introduce yourself. Sometimes photos just don't do a person justice. You can post a short video clip of yourself instead. You can say something like, "Hey everyone", my name is James, hope to meet a nice lady on this site".

Video / Text Chat

Video chat will save you time and money. It's a great first and second date until you get to know someone. If you and the person click, you can take it to the next level and meet in person. If you are unsure if the member is who they say they are, ask them to schedule a video chat. They should have nothing to hide and agree to join you. If they don't want to meet online through video chat, them perhaps you should move on.

How do I use the search

Search for who you are looking for. The Basic search is the fastest way to find members. Search by gender, age, location or username. The Advanced Search allows a larger search criteria. Keep in mind, if  you are too specific you pull up less results.

Why can't I search by zipcode?

Our search allows you to search by City or State. Just think of how many great people you would be missing out on if you based your search area by zipcode only. Surely your potential match is worth taking a drive to the next City or town?

How can I search a member by username?

Go to the  basic search and enter the members username. The member's profile will immediately pull up.

How do I save a search for later?

This is a handy feature. Click on the search button. Select "basic" or "advanced". Once you select your search criteria, you will see a field at the end of the form that says "save this search". You may name the search for future searches so that you don't have to re-enter the information each time you search. To retrieve your saved searches you may click here. Click the "run" link and it will automatically run a search of the last criteria's you entered so that you don't have to reenter information each time.

Click on the "advanced search" tab. Select Canada as the Country. In the City field enter the Providence.

Is it free to use the chat rooms?

Yes it is free. We offer two options. Free chat rooms for group chatting and "private chat" one on one. The one on one chat is a gold member feature.
